For me personally it’s so much easier to write an article or post than to create a video or podcast. Other Marketers like Rich Schefren prefer to write reports while Alex Jeffreys is the guru of videos. We all favor one type of media to another, but I know I must get out of my comfort zone of blogging and try a new media. You can do one thing well but you must also try the others.
I even like to do blogging. I know many of you would disagree and would rather produce a video than write, so we all have our strengths and weaknesses. Challenging myself to just get out there and do it is not easy, and I can find all kinds of excuses to procrastinate. I am also a bit shy so that doesn’t help me either 
I have though two marketing tools to get me started. I have a video writer program which I am trying first as I can write and have slides, music or voice over with that one. I also recently bought a flip cam which I am going to experiment with and maybe, yeah maybe, I am going to video something for my About Me page. OK, OK I hear you! I WILL do that video for my About Me page in the next week. Update: Video is now loaded.
I will let you know when they are finished and I would love your feedback please. What is the use of making a fool of yourself if no one bothers to look at it haha. I can also delete it and start again anyway. I have those marketing tools now to get me started and that is my focus for the week, I might even try a podcast in the near future.

I agree with you that everyone has a certain media they are better at. I guess its also a matter of trying out different things if you’re not sure what you are good at or not.
I’m looking forward to your new video and I’d love to learn from you how you did it as I’m new to video too.

That’s a most true statement. When doing the same, you better have very good results, otherwise frustration will take over.

Peter they are called Favicons. They came with this theme as an option but you can get them …just google it and they can also tell you how to add them.

nice neat and tidy site, enjoyable..
about doing a video, dont do it, what i mean is if its stressing you or bothering you, just dont bother.. it will affect you in doing what you are good at which as i can see is writing.. im the opposite.. i have to do videos, i think i come across better to build my brand..
if you are going to do them.. go for a walk with some nice scenery.. move the camera about, so its not just in your face, feel more relaxed then.. be instinctive, if you got an issue with something.. turn on the camera and tell the world..nice

I have learnt so much from my first pretty rough effort.
Actually going to replace it soon.
Just an idea for you – never get to close to the camera BUT always look directly into the lens – that’s where your audience is. Secondly, for your first go make sure you are alone. There is enough stress without family and friends adding to it. I did neither of these in my first attempt!!

I admit doing your own video is a very daunting experience. I still haven’t produced a personal video. I love doing video tutorials but then I don’t have to appear on them!!!
