Autoresponders are automated email messages sent on your behalf. These are usually set up in campaigns or series but can be one-offs. They can assist you reach your readers on a regular basis besides their visiting your website or blog. You can use free or paid email autoresponders but I recommend if you are serious about building your business to use a paid version like Get Response or Aweber. I use Aweber myself and found them to be reliable, inexpensive and have great resources that can help you get started.
If you are building a list of readers and customers then it is essential to have an email autoresponder. You can use an automated message when someone joins your list, direct them to an offer or as a Newsletter or regular industry updates. You can also use an autoresponder message to reply automatically to general emails you receive to notify them of your reply policies such as that you will receive a reply within 72 hours or simply to direct them somewhere else like a helpdesk.
Using an email autoresponder series will benefit your internet marketing endeavors by allowing your readers/customers to get to know you and build a relationship with them, and for offering them products or services that can solve a problem they have. You can also use it as a series of training modules over days or several weeks. It will also let you know who is opting in to your offers or newsletters and who is leaving.
Your online business will grow when you start using email autoresponder services as this is a marketing tool you must have and implement.

Nice blog here Pauline. I read your ABOUT page and see you are in Wollongong. I stayed there with friends when I was a teenager. I bet it has changed quite a bit since (I am a similar age to you). I live up on the NSW North Coast (near Byron Bay)less than an hour from the Gold Coast. Perhaps we’ll get together someday!
Good luck with your business. You are well on your way. I’ll visit again.
Cheers,
Gail

I am in the process of doing a short video for my ‘about’ page so check back in a little while. You wont believe it but I am one of the only few who haven’t been to Byron Bay.
