I knew I needed to start building a list of readers and subscribers but I am sure like you that I found that one of the most difficult tasks I have had to do. Article writing was helping with attracting the readers but I needed to work on the subscribers. It’s going into territory that is completely new to me.  As a matter of fact, I seem to be doing a lot of ‘first time’ things lately, but I am sure I am learning a lot along the way as well.  So back to my list building story…

The first thing I knew I had to do was make a product so I can submit it to Giveaways. I thought of doing an eBook or even get a PLR eBook and make it my own but I wanted something a bit easier and quicker.  I got my inspiration from Alex Jeffreys on a recent webinar when he said that his ‘thing’ is videos and webinars and since I have made a video already I thought that’s were I will start.

This video though was going to be built upon slides and commentary. I picked my subject, something I thought I knew a bit about and started.   I had a few hiccups, like the sound quality, but I got through that and now have produced something I thought worthy enough to submit to a Giveaway.   Being a bit worried about whether this video would be at the right standard, I asked Paul Teague a Giveaways Expert to give me his opinion and I must say he has been a great help to this giveaway newbie.  Thanks Paul!

Well, I have now finished the video and submitted it to The Original Products Giveaway that Keith Purkiss and Michael Ottman are running.  It started today (Friday, 2 July) but if you want to still contribute contact them.  In the first few hours I have gained 3 opt in subscribers and I am doing a little dance and grinning ear to ear.  How good is that!  Now of course I want to do more but I will try one of the Viral eBook Explosion or Resell-Rights-Weekly and get their free product to offer.
