I wrote this book because I love cooking in the slow cooker and soups are one of the easiest meals to make. I have been asked by friends for recipes so I started adding my favorites to a folder on my computer. When I bought a Kindle myself and started using it for reading I knew this was where my recipes should be published. This is the second book of my Slow Cooker books, the first being 10 Mexican Style Slow Cooker Recipes.
Cooking soups in the slow cooker brings out the flavors of the ingredients you are using. With slow cooking soups the cooker makes soup making easy as well as there are usually only a few steps to making a great soup.
I love soups in winter and even in summer I occasionally will have one for lunch. Soups fill me up as well as give me some of the allowance of vegetables I need for the day. Lets face it, they are easy to make and eat and if you make enough to freeze you have the convenience of just heating some up another day.
In this book, My Slow Cooker Soups, I have added a chapter on soup making tips and also what accompaniments you can serve with them. In total there are 20 easy recipes and my favorites are Carrot and Parsnip, Corn Chowder, Minestrone and last but not least, Lamb Shank and Butter Bean.
